Jason Conrad Hawes (born December 27, 1971) is an American plumber and the founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), which is based in Warwick, Rhode Island. He is also one of the stars and co-producers of Syfy's Ghost Hunters, which is in its tenth season.
Jason Hawes created The Atlantic Paranormal Society, or TAPS, with fellow plumber Grant Wilson. Both are part of a small, blue-collar Rhode Island community where many of the TAPS members were born and raised. His own highly personal paranormal experience (which he prefers not to discuss) prompted Jason to do more than wonder about an afterworld. He launched TAPS from a spare room of his apartment. Jason's wife respects TAPS' mission, but keep her distance - and had asked her husband not to bring his paranormal work home. Jason enjoys chasing ghosts, obviously, but he also loves spending time with his kids, deep-sea fishing and writing screenplays— he has written four sci-fi/thriller stories.

- Hawes, Grant Wilson and Steve Gonsalves are the only Season One TAPS members stay for almost 12 years.
- In episode 19 of season 9, Jason kills a harmless cicada that had hitched a ride on Steve's back. Its believed that the spirit of this cicada has been responsible for all the bad luck in Jason's life since this event. Jason has said that he deeply regrets killing this beautiful creature and has devoted most of his free time to educating people on the value and importance of insects.
- Despite the fact that Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango are now absent from the 2019 revival series aired on A&E for (Season 12), Hawes now stars in his own show Ghost Nation.
- In the colder months, Jason likes to wear a beanie hat with a brim on it. He has stated that its "the perfect mix of style, warmth, and comfort."
